FAQ      FAQ: FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

LIST How do you create your models ?

I study in detail some real specimens by using a stereomicroscope. My research cover not only the external morphology, but also the correct functionality of the joints. After modelling each movable element, i build the moulds and pour a special resin into them. Any replica is finished off, set and painted. After that i use my special finishing varnish (the ecofauna finish), what really makes the insects as real. At least, also add hairs and bristles.

LIST Do you sell single anatomical parts, too ?

Sure: consider the usage of didactic objects as wings, legs, antennas or heads.

LIST What is the ecofauna finish ?

The opaque finish is a special effect i use to preserve any model and make it particularly attractive. Special water-resistant resins stop the total reflection of light and make the surface appearance waxy and warm.
